40 Year Old Love Story Inspires Journal Cover

40 Year Old Love Story Inspires Journal Cover

Some forty years ago, on top of Lookout Mountain, TN, I met the sweetest girl at Covenant College.

Smitten, I was.
Wrote her a love note, I did.

Lacking every art skill, I somehow forced a pen to wander around the page and create this:

In 2019, four decades later, said girl dug this out of a scrap book.

"I'd love it if you made a cover like this," she said.

"As you wish," I replied.

Ruth and I hope you enjoy the new heart journal

I just received my journal. It is great. I picked the free cover because it reminded me of Psalm 1:3. I love that psalm. I am thinking of getting the mountains next, because it reminds me of the verse that tells, even the mountains will cry out.

Tracking kindness is a terrific way to keep kindness on our radar and incorporate more of it into our lives. Just as a gratitude makes us more attuned to the things that we’re grateful for, a kindness journal or tracker makes us more aware of those moments of grace. And, especially if we have a goal of recording one (or more) acts of kindness daily, we’ll be more apt to take action.

C'mon. Do it. Who would turn down happiness?

Do you have a kitty? Well, just like Fido, your cat deserves her own journal (or Bujo trackers). Starting a personal journal for your cat is a great idea for many reasons. It helps you and your vet track your kitty's health; it's a excellent resource for a petsitter; it provides a way to make sure Tiger's basic needs are being met; and it will become a beautiful memory book. Click in for tips and inspo on how to get your kitcat started with her own personal journal.

Bullet Journals and Teaching Go Hand-in-Hand

Dear teachers: a Bullet Journal can be an amazing tool for you. It's one place to track ALL THE THINGS. No more tracking stuff (grades, attendance, supplies needed, meetings, light bulb moments) in multiple places. No more pulling your hair out when the system or the WiFi is down. No more lost sticky notes. Just one personal journal, always at your fingertips for quick reference.
